"Could not rate higher because at least half of the fixing bolts would not screw in deep enough to allow the bolt heads to sit in the countersinks. Had to shorten the bolts to sort this out. It isn't difficult to assemble but some sort of instructions would be useful. None are provided even though the bolts and screws come in a bag marked to include instructions as well. Finally the packaging was very poor - just a cardboard box in which the bench parts were loosely put inside. When the box was delivered it was damaged in a couple of places which resulted in damage to the bench which needed sanding down to fettle the bumps and scratches out. I didn't complain or return the bench because I am experienced in diy and was confident I could sort things out but that won't be the case for everyone. I also felt that you 'get what you pay for' and this bench was considerably cheaper than others made of teak."

"The quality of the bench itself is excellent, but the "limited self assembly" was not a straightforward as anticipated. Whether holes were not correctly drilled and this was the cause of the problem or whether the quality of the bolt fittings was the problem, I don't know. I am an experienced "diy-er" and I had considerable difficulty."

"Being teak, we thought the wood would be heavier duty. As it happens, the wood was quite light-weight. Hopefully will serve us for many years to come. Lovely design and shape. Will be nice when it weathers-in a little. Looks a bit "new" at the moment."

"Lovely bench, great quality. Just a bit tricky with getting some of the mortice and tenon joints together and if they weren't tight closed the screws wouldn't tighten either. Maybe the instructions could guide you as to what order to do things as well!"

"I Thought when unpacking it that wood could do with being a bit thicker but fully assembled it looks OK and overall I am very pleased with it. One screw hole was not an easy fit but that could be overcome. Instructions were not bad but there is a slight curve on the seat This fits into the legs and the back section either of 2 ways round. only 1 particular way enabled tight fitting joints at the back . Turned out correct way was with all sticky identifying labels on the one side. It would help if that was in the instructions"
