"I bought these as a gift for Christmas but checked them first. I found that BOTH of the remote controls did NOT work, but as you have to switch the candles ON/OFF at the base, else the batteries will drain if left on over-time, the remotes seem rather pointless. The candles in themselves are OK and look realistic. Overall... Buy the candles on their own as the remote control is just a gimmick."
