"It would appear that the product does not work immediately. When I first sprinkled the powder around the base of the metal bird feeder stand, the squirrel quite happily ate the nut and seed droppings on the ground from WITHIN the powder. It still continued to climb the metal pole in an attempt to access the feeders. I also sprinkled the powder on the top surface of the pergola, which is next to the trees, across which the squirrel(s) gain access to the garden. This did not deter them. Recently, however, their visits have not been so frequent. Is this gradual effect what you would expect? If so, I shall continue to use the powder, and possibly buy another. I am also fascinated by the instruction on the container which states Sprinkle the product approx. 15 cm above the desired surface ... . In mid-air???!!!"

"The trouble with this Squirrel Deterrent is that you have to renew it whenever it has rained. In dry weather it does, to some extent, disorientate the squirrels, but it's not brilliant. It was worth trying - better than nothing."
