But again it is impossible to rate its performance against cats as freezing weather made me decide to bring it inside to prevent damage and then heavy rains kept cats away anyway. "This definitely works, the reasons I've dropped it a star are to do with not very detailed instructions, you basically have to figure out how to set it up yourself. The potentiometer to set the range goes from 1m to 9m. I have mine set to one and the unit still goes off even if you are passing it at 6-8m. I have had no fouling since I have installed it and a bonus that the postman now walks round the front garden and not over the lawn!"

"Fantastic product! Over the past ten years I've had a constant stream of cats coming to my garden to use it as a toilet. During this time I've had to remove bucket loads of disgusting cat feaces. I tried other remedies such as pellets, sonic repeller, chilli flakes, orange peel, etc.....nothing worked. I set up the PestBye Jet Spray around two weeks ago and since then I haven't had a single cat stay in the garden long enough to do their dirty business. If you are having the same problems, I would highly recommend this product."

"Product geïnstalleerd en ingesteld. Slang aansluiten, testen en klaar. Het afstellen van de afstand met de knop voor het detecteren van beweging werkt niet erg nauwkeurig. Maar dat is een kwestie van uitproberen. Verder is de drukspuit helemaal van plastic (kan ook niet roesten dus) en erg wankel als deze in de grond is gestopt met de 'pin'. Ik heb hem verstevigd door er ook een stok bij te zetten en daaraan vast te maken. Dan staat de spuit steviger. Verder werkt hij goed en doet wat hij moet doen: bij beweging spuiten. En nu maar hopen dat de katten wegblijven."

"When reducing the distance setting to less than about 50% the spray splutters rather than send a jet. Increase the distance setting just enough to ensure a jet of water (as opposed to a splutter) then the jet aims too high. Workaround is to point the unit (and therefore the PIR sensor) slightly downwards but this reduces the range of the PIR sensor."

C'est a croire que ce sont des chats qui ont diffusé ces méthodes pour pouvoir continuer a ***** en paix :x ** Ce type de dispositif est le seul réellement efficace ! ** La qualité du produit est tout a fait correct, pas de fuite (le teflon sinon), capteur de mouvement PIR, pas de faux positif, Ok avec des piles rechargeable, le pic et la tete sont remplacables (dispo GSB 3€ le pic en metal par ex.). Depuis l'installation: Plus aucun excrément de chat ! \o/"

Bei der Installierung habe ich bemerkt, das auf der Kupplung, genau auf der Gewinde zwischen das Rohr und der Element, wo Wasser installiert ist, befindet sich ein Loch. Weil ich besitze eine Wasserpumpe mit Druckbehälter, die ganze Installation muss ganz dicht sein. "Instructions could be better, but product once set up by trial and error does the job as described. Positioning is critical, bushes moving in wind will activate the spray, but I think that the feline bird killing machine next door has got the idea, if it comes into our garden for any reason, it will get soaked. "Formidable ! J'ai 3 voisins, l'un a 5 chats, le 2ème en a 3 et le 3e en a 2. Tous ces chats adorent mon potager... J'avais essayé un lanceur d'ultrasons, sans succès. J'ai donc placé le "jet spray PestBye" à l'entrée de mon jardin. Dès ce moment, je n'ai plus vu un seul chat oser entrer ! J'ai enfin la paix. Bref, succès total !"

"Naja, er leckt leider am Gehäuse, daher kann ich ihn nicht dauerhaft am aufgedrehten Schlauch lassen. Ich werde versuchen, die Stelle im Frühjahr abzudichten, weil es prinzipiell eine gute Idee ist. Wenn das nicht klappt kommt er in die Tonne. Als Kinderspaß und Schwiegermutterschreck hat er funktioniert, das war lustig. Aber aufgrund der Undichtigkeit kann ich ihn nicht abends / nachts angeschlossen lassen, wenn die Katzen unterwegs sind. Von daher erfüllt er nicht seinen Zweck."

"Seems to be working now. Instructions were a little confusing, referring to features that were not present on this model of scarer but easy to set up overall. From leaving between 2-4 little presents every night, after a week we have had no sign of fouling or digging up the bedding plants. The lack of adjustability may be of concern to some since you can only adjust direction of spray with a fixed angle of coverage it would have been great to have independent angle coverage. However given the price and the success of keeping cats of the garden I can't really complain since its working fine"

"This is very poorly made and I am so glad that I did not pay full price for this. Every single joint leaked a lot. I took the whole thing apart and applied PTFE (plumbers) tape to all the threads and then put back together and tightened back up and this seems to have reduced the squirting to a drip at a couple of the joints so that was the main issue rectified. The actual sensor is probably too sensitive and of course and this can cause problems with the amount of times this will go off ~20+ times an hour on a mildly breezy day with plants at the end of my garden where the cats like to foul in the mud so its a shame that the sensitivity cannot be adjusted as only the distance of the sensor's range can be adjusted. I also had to put 2 plant sticks either side of the body of the sensor to prevent the sensor body from moving from my desired position. I have had this installed for about 10 days but can't say if this is working although when I see the amount and power of the spray it makes me jump so hopefully the same will happen to the cats."

"The joints leaked, which is not good for a triggered sprinkler that has to be left permanently on. On closer examination, the male connector measured to be a different profile to those on other hose connectors. It was threaded, so I replaced it. Then, other threaded parts leaked, so I used plumbers tape and the unit sealed OK.. Once working, the sensor operated well and the sprinkler deterred cats."

"This item does not work. I assumed the first one was faulty - the device did not turn off when the dial was turned to '0' and the PIR went off every few seconds without a break. I was swiftly sent a replacement when I explained the problem but this one was exactly the same - with the additional factor that it leaked much more than the first. Deciding to experiment a little I found the only way to increase the time span between water jets was to slow the water pressure to a trickle, the jet still activated at regular intervals and was so weak as to not even travel a yard. I put the device on one side having disconnected it and turned it to '0', forgetting that this did not stop it working. A few days later I spent some time tracing down a 'clicking' sound I could hear, lo and behold it was the jet propeller quietly clicking away as it opened and closed its valves at intervals of a few seconds. Although the service and response from Primrose has been excellent I am still well out of pocket because in anticipation of this device I bought new hose and fittings to extend the 50 yard length of my garden. Do not buy this item"

"Works a treat. The cats invading my garden and leaving little smelly parcels have almost all gone! I keep moving the machine to different locations to keep them guessing and it works. Just one comment, the main jet fires quite high, is there any way I can lower the trajectory so the animals get the best I can offer! I would recommend the product to my friends."

"The system should in theory be very effective at deterring cats - but it has some serious design flaws. The first is when it goes off it shakes itself so much it soon becomes loose in the ground. The second is the sensor head is very loose so it also starts to move as the spray works. I could only get the thing to work and stay in one place by securing the head to a fence post with a bit of bungee cord. Thirdly, the connection looks like a Hoselok but it is the wrong profile so my hose kept coming off because of the water pressure. I eventually got it to connect by using a tap connector (proper Hozelok one!) on the other side to the hozelok connector and blocked off the side you are supposed to use with a circle of plastic sheet. I also find the sensor is too sensitive. Even when there is no vegetation in sight and with the sensitivity turned down to almost zero it keeps going off on its own if there is any sort of wind blowing. In summary, it is a good idea but let down by poor design. I would gladly pay twice as much for one that was better made and worked. I have not rated it the lowest as it is working to deter cats but I am not sure the neighbours are too pleased with it going off continually whenever the wind blows! "

"The delivery from primrose was prompt. No problem there. The product was working ok for 2 days, but when i moved it's position, the ground stake snapped off where it meets the water inlet, wrecking it beyond repair. So i only got 2 days use from it. The instructions say to push it carefully into the ground, which i was doing. It isn't really robust enough at this joint."

"due to the number of cats that have been using my lawn it is now getting well watered which does mean I have to mow it more often but thankfully the cats have not used it since the second dispatch working spray seems to be sending them off before they leave their customery deposit."

"I have to say that the cat I was trying to deter from walking across my fence hence the fence spikes haven't quite worked. Only the other day I saw it gingerly ( yes that was the colour of the cat) walking on the spikes. I have now sprayed the spikes with WD40 hoping that may help."

"It works, dem pesky cats did not know what happened!. Not the most robust construction but if you are careful about where you put the stake, then its fine. You will forget its on then you get a shower toboot. Might be a problem in the winter if a freeze comes to the insides. Excellent dispatch and easy ordering. Pleased i bought it. (I have had hours of fun with it aswell)"

"Spray repeller faulty. Couldn't be bothered to pack it all up and send it back so opened it up and fixed it myself. Fault was a dry soldered joint on power wire from battery holder to passiv infra red detector. Works ok now. Would have been amazing value but for that fault. "

"With the exception of the fact that the first jet repeller we purchased leaked when we set it up, we have high hopes that the new one will now protect our crops from the many neighbourhood cats and foxes... great service from Primrose in replacing the faulty unit, new unit delivered in less than 2 days."

"As I am the only houshold that has grass in the back garden in my cul-du- suc all the cats in the neighbourhood use it as a toilet. I have tried all the sprays and gadgets you can find and none of them worked. I purchased the jetspray and since I have done that I have had cat free grass. It has been three weeks and counting and I will without hesitation recommend this product to anybody Thank you for an exellent product. Kind Regards Simon"
